Privacy policy

This policy explains how Lockyer Sheds, a registered business name of Builtwise Group Pty Ltd (ABN 73 675 775 096) ("we", "us"), handles personal information collected through this website. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• Details you enter in our quote and callback forms: name, company, email, phone number, preferred contact method, project suburb, state and postcode, information about your project (type, size, options, timing and, if you choose to give it, a budget range), and whether you agreed to receive marketing.
• Files you upload, such as architectural or engineering drawings.
• Technical information about the visit that led to your enquiry: the page you arrived on, the page you submitted from, campaign parameters in the link you followed (such as utm_source) and advertising click identifiers.
• Website usage information collected by Google Analytics 4, described below.

Why we collect it

To prepare quotes, contact you about your project, supply our products, keep records of enquiries, and understand which pages and channels bring us enquiries so we can improve the website. We don't sell personal information.

Your drawings

Plans and drawings you upload are treated as confidential. They are stored privately (not as public web files), are used only to review and quote your project, and are reached by our team through expiring, signed links. They are never published.

How forms are processed and stored

Form submissions are validated by this website and stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc.: as a form submission, which Netlify also emails to our team, and as a private backup record so an enquiry is not lost if an email fails. Netlify stores data outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting a form you consent to your information being handled this way.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (and, where enabled, Google Tag Manager to load it) to understand how the website is used, including which pages lead to quote requests and phone calls. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. We don't send your name, email, phone number, messages or files to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails if you tick the optional box on the quote form. You can unsubscribe at any time. The box is never ticked for you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records and uploaded plans for as long as we need them to quote and carry out your project and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete an enquiry that did not go ahead.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing admin@lockyersheds.com.au or calling 07 5466 5858. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
